Jute and Reed rolls

Jute and Reed rolls are indispensable for the application of loam plaster and clay plasters. In the Amsterdam canals belt 400 years ago all ceilings were covered with reed and then finished with a plaster layer. Most of the ceilings from this time are still there. The jute has been used everywhere where different materials such as stone and wood have to be bridged with plaster, or where stucco layers have a lot of tension, jute can be applied throughout the entire area. Both materials are completely ecological and are 100% biodegradable after use. In March 1993 we had a TNO fire test made with a reed ceiling on wooden tiles with a 20 mm clay plaster finish. Result 2 hours and 5 minutes fire resistant.
